This compilation of Countries Factsheets 2017 provides a country-based overview, aimed at facilitating the Directorate General for Development and Cooperation (DG DEVCO) and Delegations to quickly identify a state of vulnerability in a country and supporting them in the prioritization process of programming EU interventions on sustainable agriculture, food security and nutrition sectors. It represents indeed a basic source of background information of the country. Synthesizing information for easy use in the decision-making process guided this work. It’s part of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) strategy for knowledge management in the EU policy formulation cycle.
