The Co-Chairs of the High Ambition Coalition to End Plastic Pollution, H.E Jeanne d'Arc Mujawamariya, Minister of Environment of the Republic of Rwanda and H.E Espen Barth-Eide, Minister of Climate and Environment of Norway, invite to a UN General Assembly 77th session (UNGA77) side-event titled Roadmap to End Plastic Pollution by 2040 with participation from experts and high-level speakers from UN, Government, Civil society and Business.
Plastic pollution constitutes a planetary crisis with impacts on ecosystems, biodiversity, the climate and human health.
