CIE Summer week 2025

The Competence Centre on Microeconomic Evaluation at the European Commission, Joint Research Centre (JRC) is pleased to host the 2025 Summer Week on Counterfactual Impact Evaluation (CIE), which will be held on 17-20 of June 2025, at the Joint Research Centre in Ispra (VA), Italy.

Objective

The aim of this event is to share good practices of evaluation of public programmes and to provide training on CIE methods to policy officers and researchers from European Commission, policy and research institutions interested in counterfactual impact evaluation and their applications.

Event structure

The summer week will encompass two events:
 
June 17 - 18 Training on CIE methods, a gentle introduction to major CIE categories with presentation of case studies and interactive group activities.
 
June 19 - 20 NetCIEx Workshop 2025, with the participation of experts on CIE from academia and research institutes presenting their current research.
 
Conference Fees: The events are free of charge (no registration fees), but participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation.
