Talent booster mechanism in action

On 18 March 2025, the second Harnessing Talent Platform public event will take place in Brussels, focusing on the Talent Booster Mechanism's first results and future directions. The event will showcase support for Member States, regions, and cities, and reflect on Cohesion policy's role in addressing demographic change.

On 18 March 2025, in Brussels, the second Harnessing Talent Platform public event will be held, themed TALENT BOOSTER MECHANISM IN ACTION. First results and ways forward". This event aims to highlight the progress made by the Talent Booster Mechanism (TBM) and its 8 Pillars in supporting EU regions.

The event will provide a platform to showcase the support provided to Member States, regions, and cities through the TBM, with a focus on addressing demographic change and harnessing talent in EU regions. It will also offer an opportunity for regional stakeholders to share their experiences and challenges in designing solutions to talent-related issues.

The event builds on the success of the first high-level event held in November 2023, which launched the Harnessing Talent Platform and introduced the TBM's 8 pillars to over 720 stakeholders, including 120 key stakeholders who attended in person and 600 online participants. The second event will facilitate expert exchanges, policy reflection, and knowledge sharing among stakeholders, paving the way for future collaborations and initiatives to support EU regions in harnessing talent and addressing demographic change.
