I am a researcher and Director at the Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA), specializing in stream ecology, water quality, and ecosystem services. My work combines the study of intermittent rivers, the development of nature-based solutions, and the application of advanced models to improve water management in the face of global environmental challenges.
Throughout my career, I have authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles, achieving an h-index of 57 and more than 10,000 citations. I have led numerous research projects funded by national and international agencies and have successfully secured public tenders with governmental bodies, focusing on knowledge transfer and the application of innovative technologies to address pressing water-related issues.
As the Director of ICRA, I aim to strengthen the link between research and practical implementation, ensuring that our scientific outcomes contribute to sustainable water policies and the resilience of freshwater ecosystems. My commitment lies in fostering interdisciplinary approaches that bridge science, technology, and policy to support integrated water resource management."
