Helen Lynch is a Senior Lecturer in Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, UCC, Cork, Ireland. She is Director of Graduate Research in the Department and has extensive experience in supervising and examining masters research and PhD students in Ireland and other countries including Malta, Greece, USA, South Africa, Sweden, and the UK. She has secured over €3M from national and international organisations to fund her research programme on play and inclusion and is currently co-principal investigator and co-director of the new Thematic PhD in Occupational Science involving 8 full time PhD students employed through a Marie-Sklodowska Curie Joint Doctorate EU Project P4play. She is currently working on engaged research initiatives for societal impact in particular for child friendly cities, and social inclusion for play for children at risk of play deprivation
