We mobilise people and resources to create, curate, make sense of and use knowledge to inform policymaking across Europe.
The overarching objective is to improve the quality of asylum procedures by building the capacity and expertise of the asylum authorities responsible for processing, examining and taking decisions on asylum applications at the first and second instance, and to ensure the effective and sustainable functioning of Quality Assessment Units (QAUs). In this way, the project will support, through practical co-operation arrangements, the building of effective and sustainable internal review mechanisms that will regularly and objectively maintain good quality standards in EU Member States’ asylum systems.
