The Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS) provides detailed, on-demand mapping products based on satellite imagery for emergency response and disaster risk management. The CEMS is managed directly by the European Commission via the Joint Research Centre, it delivers warnings and risk assessments for floods, forest fires and droughts, and provides information on the impact of natural and man-made disasters before, during or after a crisis.
