Our DA Lab team leader Giuseppe Munda is listed among the top 2% cited scientists (source: Elsevier (Ioannidis, John P.A. (2025), “August 2025 data-update for "Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators" by Stanford”, Elsevier Data Repository, V8, doi: 10.17632/btchxktzyw.8). The selection is based on the top 100,000 scientists by c-score (with and without self-citations) or a percentile rank of 2% or above in the sub-field. 

Giuseppe Munda is a leading expert in decision analysis, who has authored numerous, highly cited scientific articles and also written two books on Multi-Criteria Evaluation. Giuseppe is the father of Social Multi Criteria Evaluation (SMCE), which has been explicitly designed for supporting public policy and is a part of the latest version of the European Commission Better Regulation Toolbox (TOOL #62).

Giuseppe is currently heading the Decision Analysis Lab (DA Lab) at the JRCS.3, which conducts both methodological and applied research.
