Evidence for policy on International Migrants' Day

To mark International Migrants’ Day on 18 December 2024, the European Commission’s Knowledge Centre on Migration and Demography (KCMD) releases a new edition of the Atlas of Migration - a reference tool providing the latest validated and harmonised migration data, at global level. This new edition also features a dedicated section on drivers of migration, which sheds lights on the multiple factors that influence people decision to migrate.  

The Atlas of Migration serves as a reliable, comprehensive tool from which policymakers, researchers and journalists can derive the latest migration facts and figures.

The KCMD has been supporting EU decision makers with solid scientific evidence and data since 2016.
