Objective

The Network on Counterfactual Impact Evaluation (NetCIEx) promotes collaborations of the Competence Centre on Microeconomic Evaluation (CC-ME) of the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) with universities and other research institutions with interest in CIE. The purpose of the network is to promote causal policy evaluation in Europe.

Activities

Activities include:

  • Possible research visits at CC-ME, including for Master students (atypical trainees) or PhD students (Unpaid Visiting Scientists);

  • Possible common research projects: joint work on some evaluation of policy interventions, possibly involving visits;

  • Participation to the NetCIEx annual meeting.

Workshop Series

The workshops aim to assemble practitioners and academics to explore the latest developments in the theory and applications of counterfactual impact evaluation (CIE) methods.
