About the Learning Centre

On these pages you can find a wide range of guidance and support, helping you to use the K4P platform effectively. Our Learning Centre includes the K4P User Manual, which covers the more technical aspects of creating and managing content on the platform. With the K4P Guidance, we also provide guidance on how to communicate science accessibly and engagingly, especially to policymakers.

FAQ about K4P

What is Knowledge4Policy?
The Joint Research Centre’s Knowledge4Policy (K4P) platform brings together scientific knowledge from across Europe, making it findable, accessible and useful for policymakers across Europe. In doing so it supports evidence-informed policymaking.
How do I search Knowledge4Policy?
To search the entire Knowledge4Policy database, simply go to the home page and enter your search term(s) into the 'Search our knowledge base' field. You can then refine your search results using the filters on the right.
How do I contact you, ask you a question or give K4P feedback?
At the bottom of every page in K4P you’ll find a ‘Was this useful’ banner, enabling you to provide feedback concerning a specific page. For feedback or questions concerning Knowledge4Policy as a whole, you can use this contact form.
How do I subscribe and unsubscribe to K4P newsletters?
K4P offers many newsletters, each provided by a different knowledge community. You can subscribe to them by going to the knowledge community’s landing page and clicking on the ‘subscribe to our newsletter’ link when there is one, and providing your email address. You will be able to (un)subscribe from any newsletter by following the instructions in the newsletter itself.
The K4P User Manual tells you everything you need to know from a technical point of view, to create and publish content on K4P.
K4P Guidance gives you tips and advice on how to make your content effective from an editorial point of view, helping to make it clear and engaging.
