Seeds are the foundation of our food system. Resilient seed systems are central to sustainable food systems that are renewable, resilient, equitable, diverse, healthy, and interconnected. In light of critical global challenges such as climate change and food and nutrition security, there is an urgent need to maintain and enhance agricultural biodiversity.
The Resilient Seed Systems Shared Action Framework (available in English and Spanish) is a strategic guide for diverse stakeholders to take a holistic, collaborative approach to protecting and enhancing the world’s seed systems and to galvanize the action on agricultural biodiversity.
