I am a postdoctoral researcher in Environmental Social Sciences at Eawag, the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology. I am a political scientist with strong interdisciplinary skills working on science-society relations for environmental sustainability. I obtained a MA in Political Science from the University of Salzburg, Austria, and a PhD in International Affairs and Political Economy from the University of St.Gallen, Switzerland.
In my research, I focus on evidence use in policy and practice, arguing about technological innovation in international negotiations, and interdisciplinary knowledge integration. Currently, I am responsible for the interdisciplinary knowledge integration in the project "Evidence-based Transformation in Pesticide Governance" (Trapego). Beyond pesticides, my empirical areas of expertise include energy, climate, and ocean industries. I regularly engage with stakeholders from policy and practice, have experience in moderation and facilitation of research workshops and science-policy dialogues, and teach global environmental politics at university.
Besides academic research, I have work experience from the Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR), an international organization in the area of sustainable transport. My work comprised policy-making and diplomacy involving senior decision-makers and representation of the organization in EU expert groups.
