PhD in Microbiology. I was connecting the dots between science and medical needs 🫱 Now science and policymaking at the JRC

Ph.D. in Microbiology, Master’s degree in Bioinformatics and Data Science in the healthcare sector from ā€œInstituto de Salud Carlos IIIā€ (Spain) and a Master’s degree in promotion and management of international research and innovation programmes. He is an expert in Genetics, Molecular Biology and infectious diseases. Author of several articles published in scientific journals as well as book chapters. Regular reviewer in European funding programmes and relevant JCR-indexed journals. External expert for the Spanish Medicine Agency (AEMPS). I was Adjunct Professor at the University of Extremadura and Chief Scientific Officer at FundeSalud, Dept. of Health and Social Services at the Government of Extremadura. Now Policy Analyst at the Joint Research Center (JRC) in Brussels.
