This dashboard presents chemical and material biorefineries outside the EU. The underpinning dataset has been developed by the Joint Research Centre, the Biomass Technology Group BV (BTG) and E4Tech. Traditional bio-based products such as pulp and paper and wood, as well as the use of biomass for the production of energy are not included. The dataset builds on the Bio-based industry and biorefineries in the EU and extends it, focusing on the main components of bio-based value chains (feedstock, conversion process platforms and products). The dashboards are accompanied by a report.
