Brief me
Based on the Better Regulation Guidelines and Toolbox, the guide visually outlines and simplifies the EC impact assessment (IA) process — from political validation to submission to the Regulatory Scrutiny Board (RSB) — highlighting where and how SMCE and SOCRATES are applied throughout.
Designed for users already familiar with the basics of SMCE and SOCRATES, it offers step-by-step guidance on how to apply these methods and integrate their results into an impact assessment report. The SMCE@EC Knowledge Graph is currently available for EC internal purposes.
To learn more or request access as an EC member, please get in touch with the team for further information (please email us at JRC-SOCRATES@ec.europa.eu with a subject mentioning the SMCE@EC Knowledge Graph).
