About

The Cancer Projects Tool showcases cancer-related projects funded by the EU4Health and Horizon Europe funding mechanisms and highlights the synergies between the projects.

The Tool is dynamic and responsive. It will be updated regularly to incorporate new grant agreements. The selection of projects is focused on cancer or its determinants, but the list provided is not exhaustive.

Project acronyms are listed in the outer circle and are organised by the action areas of the two major Commission's initiatives on cancer Europe's Beating Cancer Plan (EBCP, funded by EU4Health) and the Mission on Cancer (funded by Horizon Europe), namely: Understanding of cancer, Prevention, Screening and early detection, Diagnosis and treatment and Quality of life.

Below the visualisation tool, you find a searchable table where you can directly find and sort projects, select by action area, country, keywords or funding scheme without navigating through the visual elements.

How to use the tool?

Place the cursor over a project acronym to reveal its interconnections with other projects.

Click on the project acronym (outer circle) to open a detailed information box, including the list of connected projects.

Hover over a dot in the inner circle to select a keyword.

In this video you can find the instructions on how to use this tool.
