Bio-based Plastics - Expert workshop on current state of the art and knowledge gaps

This workshop took place on 26 June 2025 in Brussels, in hybrid modality. It gathered academics, practitioners and policymakers to discuss the most questioned technical, economic, environmental aspects, in relation to bio-based plastics, the knowledge gaps to be filled to address these issues as well as the most promising uses and application areas. Its outcomes will inform a knowledge for policy brief by the KCB, representing the bio-based plastics sector to European policy makers.
