In its Special Report 33/2018, the European Court of Auditors (ECA) recommended that the Commission should regularly present relevant data on desertification and land degradation in a clear, user-friendly way for public use, preferably in the form of interactive maps. Building on its Soil Degradation Dashboard, the EUSO has developed this dashboard to provide access to up-to-date statistics and maps of the extent of land degradation and desertification for the EU.
