AMBER Alert Europe (AAEU), the European Centre for Missing Children, is a pan-European foundation uniting 75+ partners in 29 countries across law enforcement and justice authorities, universities, police academies and civil society organisations. We deliver training & capacity building (official CEPOL partner), applied research & policy advocacy, child alerting, and prevention/awareness. We contribute to EU law and policy (inputs to Prüm II, SIS II, AI Act, CSAM/CSA), advance towards an EU Act on Missing Children and Missing Persons, and engage EP, Council and Commission (LIBE/JURI, DG HOME/CERIS). We help Member States run AMBER Alert/mass-notification systems that mobilise millions in minutes in the search for missing children. Additionally we build & support national prevention campaigns. We laid the foundation for and continue to support the Police Expert Network on Missing Persons (PEN-MP). Through ICCAP, the world’s largest cold-case programme, we unite 1,000+ students from 54 universities and police academies in 11 countries to re-examine real cases, generating new leads. Grounded in the EU Charter and the EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child, with strict privacy and data protection, AAEU offers a unique network, decade-plus expertise and a proven path from pilot to EU adoption.
