This study was conducted in preparation for the Global Bioeconomy Summit 2018. It presents an
update of two previous reports on national bioeconomy policy strategies assembled by the
Secretariat of the German Bioeconomy Council. Since holding the first Global Bioeconomy Summit
in 2015, bioeconomy policy has gained further momentum globally. This report provides an overview of the latest policy documents and emerging trends and initiatives in bioeconomy policy.
