The Bioeconomy Council is an independent advisory body to the German Federal Government on the implementation of the “National Research Strategy Bioeconomy 2030” and the “National Policy Strategy on Bioeconomy” with the aim of creating optimum economic and political framework conditions for a biobased economy. The Bioeconomy Council aims to support research and development in the knowledge-based bioeconomy, set up positive framework conditions for a biobased economy, improve training and professional development in the bioeconomy, and conduct an open dialogue with different societal stakeholder groups.
