The future of food and agriculture: quantifying social and environmental benefits and costs of different production systems

A conceptual framework and farm sustainability assessment method to determine social and environmental externalities (benefits and impacts) has been developed in this study, which could guide management practices at farm level, raise consumer awareness and influence agriculture policies.
