The project supports the implementation of the New Pact on Migration and Asylum and is co-designed in collaboration with the relevant Commission services.
The project has a strong future-oriented component and foresees a close collaboration with policy DGs. It has as priority areas asylum and irregular border crossings, as well as preparedness. It covers also other areas explicitly mentioned in the Political Guidelines, like return, strategic relationships with third countries, legal pathways.
