The infographic provides updated data on employment and value added of the European bioeconomy based on the dataset from Ronzon et al., 2022 (http://data.europa.eu/89h/7d7d5481-2d02-4b36-8e79-697b04fa4278) and the methodology described in Ronzon et al., 2020 (https://doi.org/10.3390/su12114507).
In 2019, the European bioeconomy employed 17.4 million people and generated EUR 657 billion of value added.
