Descriptions:
The strategies are classified as follows:
- Fully dedicated to the bioeconomy: Strategies that exclusively focus on bioeconomy deployment, covering one or multiple areas and parts of or whole value chain.
- Bioeconomy is one of the key elements: Strategies focused on the bioeconomy, alongside other topics, themes or sectors.
- Minimum bioeconomy content: Strategies that tackle or cover the bioeconomy superficially.
The first layer of the map “All types of strategies” represents the regions in a hierarchical way, i.e. regions appear only with the strategy that is ranked highest according to the role of the bioeconomy.
Regions in this map follow the Nomenclature of territorial units for statistics (NUTS), and the geographical scale of the strategies can be NUTS 1, NUTS 2 or NUTS 3 level.
