A hub for the JRC’s scientific research on Artificial Intelligence

What we do

The rapid development of AI is changing the lives of EU citizens. To help policymakers make informed decisions to bring about the full potential of AI technologies while protecting people from harm, the JRC provides research, tools and analyses, looking at:  

  • the growth and maturity of AI technologies 
  • policy and regulatory initiatives around AI 
  • real-world adoption of AI and its societal impact
  • methodologies and standards for trustworthy and transparent AI systems  

The AI Watch portal brings together the latest JRC resources across these topics, and aims to support human-centred, ethical and transparent use of AI to benefit society.
