Nutrition smart agriculture (NSmartAg) is a set of agriculture and agro-processing technologies and practices that contribute to the improvement of nutrition and increase of the farm and agribusiness-level productivity and revenue. One critical step to jump-starting NSmartAg is to produce country profiles. These profiles can begin country-level policy dialogues to identify and introduce the agriculture policy reforms and sector investments needed to promote increased production and consumption of safe, nutritious, diverse, and affordable diets. The goal of the NSmartAg country profile is therefore to identify governmental and or business opportunities in agriculture that can improve the validated practices and technologies at the farm and agribusiness levels that have the double objective under the NSmartAg approach.
