This brief provides an overview of the Investing in Livelihood Resilience and Soil Health in ACP Countries (ILSA) programme in Kenya, funded by the European Union and implemented by IFAD.
ILSA Kenya aims to strengthen Kenya’s agricultural systems by promoting agroecological approaches that restore soil health, enhance the productivity of small-scale farmers and increase resilience to climate and market shocks.
This project will directly benefit 40,000 small-scale farmers, at least 60 per cent of them women and youth, in line with IFAD’s and Kenya’s commitments to social inclusion. Indirectly, 120,000 people are estimated to benefit.
