Contribution to Food Production and Resilience of Food Systems in Ethiopia

Global Food and Nutrition Security

This brief provides an overview of the Investing in Livelihood Resilience and Soil Health in ACP Countries (ILSA) programme in Ethiopia, funded by the European Union and implemented by IFAD.

ILSA supports the Government of Ethiopia in scaling up agroecological farming to restore soil health, reduce dependency on external inputs and build resilience to climate shocks.

ILSA Ethiopia aims to enable 10,800 rural households to sustainably improve their incomes and food security. At least 50 per cent of the target group will be women and 40 per cent will be youth.
