Highlight:

On May 5th, the new contaminant regulation (EU) 2023/915 was published. This will come into force as early as May 25th, 2023 and will replace the previous regulation (EC) 1881/2006.

The new Food Contaminants Regulation (EU) No 2023/915 repeals the previous reg. (EC) 1881/2006, after 17 years, consolidates in a single text the maximum thresholds for contaminants that the European Commission has updated over the years, through numerous amendments to Reg. (EC) 1881/06.
