Highlights:
The online CGIAR annual report 2022 features developments and achievements over the past year through science and partnership to transform food, land, and water systems in a climate crisis.
Climate change, together with conflict and pandemic recovery, is contributing to the most severe food crisis in modern history, presenting urgent challenges in the form of poverty, inequality, hunger and malnutrition. Food systems are part of the problem, but can also be part of the solution.
In this report, CGIAR highlights the innovative solutions being co-created with CGIAR Centers and trusted partners to support climate change adaptation and mitigation on a local and global scale.
A key achievement in 2022 was the launch of a major new portfolio of Research Initiatives along five impact areas.
