DEVCO is supporting the proof-of-concept phase of a new food security and food safety programme: PlantwisePlus. Led by the Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International (CABI) and involving numerous partners, this new global programme aims to make 50 million farmers more resilient to plant health threats over a 10-year period. The promotion of sustainable and equitable approaches to crop production will increase smallholder farmer incomes and the supply of safer, higher-quality food for local markets.
