Working at the science-policy interface requires a distinct set of competences that are rarely covered at formal university education that researchers follow. Thus, my work at the JRC is focusing on filling this gap,i.e. by 1) identifying the complementary 'Science4Policy' competences required for researchers working at the science-policy interface; and 2) designin and delivering training and other capacity building activities for researchers aiming to increase the impact of the their research on (EU) policies. For this purpose, the JRC have developed several resources:
- Science4Policy Competence Framework for researchers
- Curriculum for 2-day training (online or classroom) on Science4Policy
- 1-hour e-learning course on "Science for Policy - Maximise your Policy Impact"
- 10 tips for researchers to achieve policy impact
- Science for Policy Handbook
- Training-of-Trainers porgramme on Science4Policy
