Global Food and Nutrition Security

Global beverage markets remain highly exposed to shocks, from extreme weather and supply constraints to pest outbreaks and logistics disruptions. The report shows that supply and demand shocks drive most global price movements, yet their effects are transmitted incompletely and unevenly across value chains, affecting producers and consumers differently. Building resilience therefore requires more than managing short-term risks. It demands stronger market information systems, greater transparency, and sustained investment in climate resilience, productivity, and market access to create more inclusive and sustainable beverage value chains.
