The Conference, organised by the Competence Centre on Modelling of the European Commission, brought together researchers and policy makers from the Commission, European and international institutions and agencies, Member States, Universities, research institutes, and consultancies to discuss common challenges and solutions in the use of models to support policy making.
Contributions addressed all policy areas characterized by frequent use of models in support to policy making in the EU, such as agriculture, economics, energy, environment, transport, climate and risk.
The parallel sessions, organised around cross cutting topics, have been an occasion for dialogue between the various modelling communities and between modellers and policymakers.
