Renewable Energy map Overview Tables

Bioeconomy

Overview data on total final energy consumption (in industry, transport and buildings), gross electricity generation, electricity capacity, district heat generation, by country, sector, technology, and source. Data expressed in PJ and TWh for 2010 and the reference scenario (2030).

It is based on the ‘REmap: Roadmap for a renewable energy future, 2016’ report and provides information related to total final energy consumption, energy sector demand, power capacity and electricity generation.

Bioenergy accounting for some countries is limited, and differentiation between sold, liquid and gaseous may not be detailed. Therefore in some cases demand from liquid and gaseous bioenergy fuels maybe be categorized under bioenergy (solid).
