Culture System Future Game SES Edition

Scenario Exploration System that explores the uncertainties surrounding local government reorganisation and devolution in cultural and creative sectors.

The Scenario Exploration System (SES) is a serious game that uses engagement techniques from the entertainment world to engage participants in the full richness of the systemic collective reflection created when building scenarios.

The Culture System edition of SES game produced by Shared Intelligence was commissioned to support an English national arm’s-length public body in exploring the uncertainties surrounding local government reorganisation and devolution. The client sought to understand a range of plausible future scenarios and to understand how these differing futures might shape its relationships with stakeholders, as well as its role within the wider cultural and creative sectors.
