The EPLCA is the EU’s knowledge base that responds to business and policy needs towards sustainable production and consumption. It supports the methodological development of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for the analysis of supply chains and end-of-life waste management.
The Consumption Footprint Platform - Member States visualisation provides country-level insights into the environmental impacts of household consumption across the EU. Developed by the JRC, it allows comparison of national consumption patterns, tracks progress over time, and supports Member States in designing evidence-based policies aligned with the EU's sustainability goals.
