Developed in response to a request from the European Council, the IOI report is an annual publication that monitors the European Union's performance in terms of innovation output. 

This year's report is produced by the JRC's INNOVA project team (CC-COIN), in collaboration with the JRC's B7 team, as part of the Commission's efforts to inform policymaking at the EU, national, and regional levels. 

The Tracking country Innovation Performance: The Innovation Output Indicator 2024 report provides a comprehensive analysis of the EU's innovation performance, highlighting areas of strength and weakness, and identifying opportunities for future growth. 

The report's findings are based on a detailed analysis of innovation output indicators, which are designed to measure the EU's ability to translate innovative ideas into economic growth and job creation.
