Competence Centre on Behavioural Insights

At the Competence Centre on Behavioural Insights (CCBI), we apply behavioural science to enhance EU policymaking, making it more effective and human-centric.

Through research, expert assistance to other European Commission departments, and capacity-building, we use behavioural insights (BI) to improve regulations and to optimise policy design and implementation.

We apply BI across the policy process, in particular to identify – via experiments – the root causes of what we observe, and to design and test tailored policy interventions.
