Landfill

Bioeconomy

Deposit of waste into or onto land. It includes specially engineered landfill sites and temporary storage of over one year on permanent sites. The definition covers both landfill in internal sites, i.e. where a generator of waste is carrying out its own waste disposal at the place of generation, and in external sites. Landfill is often simply referred to as deposit.
