COIN Open Day - EIT Food Impact Framework

This workshop brings together the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Food with scientists of the European Commission’s Competence Centre on Composite Indicators and Scoreboards (COIN) with a view to discuss together how to further improve the EIT Food societal impact framework and to ensure that it is developed using the highest standards in indicator methodology.

Aim:

This workshop brings together the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Food with scientists of the European Commission’s Competence Centre on Composite Indicators and Scoreboards (COIN) with a view to discuss together how to further improve the EIT Food societal impact framework and to ensure that it is developed using the highest standards in indicator methodology.

Description:
The EIT’s next Strategic Innovation Agenda (2021 – 2027) will build on the successful results and emerging impact of the EIT to provide the European Union with a strong innovation engine that can effectively address its major challenges and give it a central place in the EU’s innovation landscape. This new strategy will be underpinned by a solid impact focused approach to delivering world-class solutions to targeted societal challenges. The EIT is currently developing its Impact Framework (2021-2027) that will include indicators for the entire impact pathway of EIT and its KICs. 

Societal impact:

The foreseen EIT impact 2027 is multilayer and will encompass economic impact, impact on innovation and societal impact.The societal impact will be specific for the societal challenges addressed by the EIT KICs and will contribute to the impact expected to be created by Horizon Europe programme’s missions.
