The European Commission Initiative on Colorectal Cancer (ECICC) aims to develop evidence-based guidelines for cancer prevention, screening and diagnosis, as well as a quality assurance scheme for healthcare services involved in the entire care pathway.

ECICC will empower individuals, patients and their families to make informed decisions about their health by providing information in a transparent and clear manner. At the same time, ECICC will ensure they benefit from high-quality healthcare services.

ECICC was launched in March 2021 with the Call for experts for the working group on colorectal cancer. The call is now closed and results will be communicated in due course. The working group will be established by the end of 2021.
