I am a research fellow at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique [National Centre for Scientific Research] (CNRS) and a member of the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Sciences Innovations Sociétés (LISIS), an interdisciplinary research laboratory dedicated to the study of science and innovation.

With a background in ecological economics and sociology, my research is focused on how scientific knowledge is produced, used and communicated, both in regulatory processes for chemical risks governance, and in innovation practices in the field of green chemistry. For the last 15 years, I have developed methods and tools for knowledge quality assessment and socio-political analysis of uncertainty, in situations of environmental controversy about chemical risks, and have worked on describing the meanings of green chemistry in the scientific and regulatory communities. Among others, I have contributed together with Jeroen van der Sluijs to the European Environment Agency’s second volume of “Late Lessons from early warnings” with a chapter on neonicotinoid insecticides and honeybees (2013), and published a book on “Economics and Power in EU Chemicals Policy and Regulation. Socio-economic analysis for managing risks” (2023).
