A group of senior advisers from 38 different countries has produced a statement calling for climate action, as “Stabilising the climate would limit the increase of sea-level rises and probability of extreme weather events. It would improve prospects for prosperity, and protect the health of humans and natural ecosystems.”

The statement highlights the potential, as well as the need to make these changes, and some of the areas in which more research an knowledge is needed, to better mitigate and adapt to climate change.
