We bring together policymakers and experts dealing with disaster risk at the Commission, the EU countries and around the world to

• build networks and partnerships to transfer of science into policy
• integrate, consolidate and share knowledge across sectors
• co-develop innovative solutions for the mitigation of disasters and their impacts

We support policymaking for global initiatives (Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, Paris Agreement, SDGs, Habitat III) and inform the Commission priorities and services (Green Deal, A stronger Europe in the world, Horizon Europe, Copernicus).
