Raceway ponds

Refer to the most common type of pond currently in use. These ponds utilize paddle wheel for agitation and mixing of the cultures, with flow rates ranging from 10-30 cm∙s-1, with depths ranging from 10-30 cm and individual ponds being up to 1 ha in area.
