On the way to sustainable development: The challenges of monitoring SDGs - Pomorskie Region

In 2022, the Pomorskie Region was selected as one of the European regions for the pilot project developed by Joint Research Centre of the European Commission: "REGIONS2030 pilot project". The project involves 10 EU regions in the process of monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and exploring the synergies between monitoring and creating sustainable regional development policy. The aim of the project is to define a set of indicators for EU regions to monitor the implementation of the SDGs.

Among the regions that participate in the REGIONS2030 project, apart from the Pomeranian Voivodeship, there are also: Βόρειο Αιγαίο (Northern Aegean Islands, Greece), Δυτική Μακεδονία (Western Macedonia, Greece), Comunidad Foral de Navarra (Spain), Andalusia (Spain), Piedmont (Italy), Apulia (Italy), Centro (Portugal), Nord-Vest (Romania), and Manisa, Afyonkarahisar, Kutahyatr, and Usak (Turkey). The Pomeranian Voivodeship supported by the Center for Sustainable Development of the University of Gdańsk partner in the project, that provides scientific and technical capacities

The results of the regional activities will be presented in the final event of the REGIONS2030 project on 5 December 2023, in Brussels.
